We went out to a bar called Proof in Omaha for a friend’s birthday. There’s a huge selection of scotch to choose from and there mixed drinks are tasty and they have a good beer menu as well. I had the house Old Fashion for 5. It was not bad but also not the best I’ve had. I would probably order a different one the next time just to see the difference but I’d still order this one. They have a very small selection of food to choose from as it is not a restaurant but an actual bar. The music was fun and sounded like you were in a Speak Easy. The bartenders were dressed up in suit vests which made the feel of the bar even more like something from the roaring 20s. They were polite and attentive. Even the owner visited our table and was sociable with us. This was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely go back.
Joel was totally fantastic. He took a lot of genuine pride in the entire establishment it was nice. Our table shared the espresso martini flight. It was stellar. Highly recommend! Thank you so much, Joel!
I was in town visiting my daughter and we stopped there, oh my goodness the service at this place was absolutely top-notch. The blue haired bartender was amazing You Can Tell She's been doing this a while because she is very good at what she does and made our visit amazing. The actual bar itself is beautiful as well as the interior of the place
The drinks were great, reasonable pricing, proper glassware for neat whiskey. Most impressively, I watched a single server handle a wedding party of 40-60 show up by surprise. She did exceedingly well at handling a surprise crowd at 3 pm.
I'm in love with this place. If you like incredibly flavorful, boozy drinks, THIS is your place! We tried several of the "house" cocktails on the menu and we were blown away by them all. (And between me and my friend, we tried several of the drinks) also liked their hummus and spinach dip apps to munch on. The atmosphere and the ambience of the place was awesome too! Can't wait to come back!! Also shout-out to the bartender Jackie for being awesome and making our drinks with perfection. Worth every penny!
Really great place. Everyone there is really nice and super caring and the drinks are good. The new guy is super nice too. I accidently fell asleep cause sports was on and he made sure I was ok. The fizzy violete drink is better than the non fizzy one.
Kyle is phenomenal! He is so great with his attention to detail. He knows exactly when to show up for drinks and is super attentive. He showed us his personal drink he crafted, the American Godfather. What an amazing drink, I’ll be coming back for that drink specifically. Kyle never fails to be excellent at customer service. Proof is lucky to have a man this young but this talented on staff! Can’t wait to come back.
Enjoyable experience. Great location in Midtown at Turner Park. I went there for a whiskey sampling event. The staff was amazing. I really enjoyed the ambience and the wide selection of whiskey available at a reasonable price.
